Caroline was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to Raleigh in elementary school. She studied Asian Studies and Japanese at UNC-Chapel Hill and lived in Tokyo for her senior year. After graduating from UNC-CH and working in lighting for professional theater for many years, she decided on a career move and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her MFA in Interior Environments in 2008.
Caroline has a diverse background in interiors, lighting, sustainable design and public design. Caroline loves working in the team-based, client-focused environment at Davis Kane where she has full project involvement working throughout the programming, design, documentation, and implementation stages. She is involved in all aspects of the projects- space planning, programming, furniture and finish selection / specification, design presentation development, construction documentation and construction administration. She enjoys working with clients through the design process to see their projects realized.
Outside of work, Caroline loves spending time with her family, exploring art museums and lazy days at Nags Head.
