BCBSNC - Customer Service Center Dining & Servery


Davis Kane Architects provided design options for new finishes and equipment in the Customer Service Center’s existing servery and dining area for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) on North Carolina. Wood and resin panels frame the entry into the servery area. Space up-fits include a menu on a built-in flat panel display, a “grab & go” station consolidating multiple chip and food cooler displays into one visually-appealing station.  An existing, self-serve station was also replaced with a soup and daily entrée counter. The existing stations to remain in the new food concept are updated with new quartz tray slides and laminated cladding. New paint, wallcovering, and accent lighting give the servery a clean, inviting look. The new furniture in the dining room seats over 200 occupants. A variety of seat and table options give the employees and guests alternatives for their dining experience. As a result of both the recommended space renovations, and the new food vendor, BCBS has seen a significant increase in breakfast and lunch sales.
