City of Raleigh Fire Station no.2 Assessment and Renovation
Raleigh, North Carolina
Davis Kane acts as a sub-consultant to Stroud Pence and Associates on this project, providing architectural services. The station will receive a complete interior renovation to include new restrooms, kitchen, offices, day room, dorms, exercise space, mechanical and plumbing systems, and new finishes throughout. The City of Raleigh has received an award of a federal grant to provide installation for a fire protection system to the existing Fire Station No. 2 facility, currently without a sprinkler system. The structural work includes slab jacking and replacement or repair of cracked / settling masonry walls, and added steel structure. The renovation encompasses approximately 6,383 square feet, converting the station from one back-in apparatus bay to two drive-through apparatus bays.
