Youngsville Fire Station No. 2&3

The new Youngsville Fire Station provided a 5,500 square foot prototype facility featuring one drive-through apparatus bay and two back-in bays constructed on two separate sites. The building includes a mezzanine in the apparatus bay for storage, private sleeping quarters for up to 6 persons, two offices, and a large day room. The fire station is slab-on-grade, and a combination of steel frame and load-bearing concrete masonry wall structure. The fire station is sited adjacent to a residential development and exhibits similar building materials including split-face masonry, brick veneer, and pre-finished aluminum siding, with a gabled shingle roof to blend with the surrounding vernacular.
