wAKE COUNTY BAYLEAF STATION NO.3 ASSESSMENT AND RENOVATION

With the recent completion of the new Bayleaf Number 1 station, The Wake County EMS now has primary ownership while maintaining Bayleaf Three as an EMS/Fire station. Three apparatus house vehicles belonging to the Bayleaf Volunteer Fire Department with the station primarily operating as an EMS substation, having the remaining five bays assigned for EMS vehicles. During the transition, the Countyidentified multiple renovations that should be undertaken at this station. A facility assessment was performed by Davis Kane identifying numerous items that needed to be addressed as part of routine maintenance, life safety upgrades, repairs, and renovations with estimated cost to implement these items.
