Ryan was born and grew up in Rockland county New York, about 40 minutes north of New York City. He discovered a love for drawing and an early passion for architecture, inspired by his occasional trips to Manhattan as a child. He began studying architecture at NC State’s College of Design in 2012, and joined Davis Kane Architects in 2014 as a summer intern, where he has worked every summer since. After studying abroad in Prague for a semester, Ryan received his Bachelors of Environmental Design in Architecture from NC State in 2016. He is currently a Master’s of Architecture student at NC State, continuing to work with Davis Kane Architects through school co-op programs and part-time work. He is expecting to graduate with his Master’s of Architecture degree in 2018.
As an Intern with Davis Kane Architects, Ryan has worked on projects for East Carolina University, NC State University, the City of Raleigh, and SAS Institute. He has gained most of his professional experience in the construction documentation, construction administration, and closeout phases of projects.
Outside of the office Ryan enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, camping, go kart driving, and spending weekends in the Outer Banks. He is also interested in automotive mechanics, physics and astronomy.
