Sarah Burnette, IIDA, AKBD, NCIDQ, LEED® Green Associate
Interior Designer

Sarah is a North Carolina native, from South Raleigh. She studied interior design while at East Carolina University in Greenville North Carolina and was an intern all three summers at Davis Kane Architects.  After graduation she worked in the kitchen and bath industry designing and selling cabinetry, countertops and hardware.  She returned to the Davis Kane team full-time in January of 2009 and has worked on projects for East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, SAS Institute, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC and Local Government Federal Credit Union.  She has worked on multiple LEED projects including SAS/C Executive Briefing Center (LEED Platinum), EMS/Fire Vehicle Facility in Cherry Point, NC (LEED Gold) and NCSU Facilities Operation (LEED Silver).  Sarah leads our casework/millwork detailing, space planning and finish selections, all with sustainable influence.  Her communication skills bridge product selection and client perception.  As the office interior designer, Sarah’s creativity, thoroughness and energy provide fusion between architecture and interior design. Sarah also enjoys other creative activities such as sewing clothing, knitting and quilting, as well as running, enjoying time with her family, and enjoying North Carolina’s Crystal Coast.
