Kristen is from Middletown, Maryland, a small town tucked in the hills near the Appalachian Trail and C&O Canal. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and moved to Raleigh with her husband. She joined Davis Kane Architects in 1998 and became a licensed architect in 2005.
Kristen has completed projects for North Carolina State University, Wake County Public Schools, SAS Institute, Inc., and Methodist Home for Children. She has experience with multi-phase construction and renovation as well as programming studies. Lifelong interests in drawing and color as well as early experience in carpentry and wood frame construction inform her work.
Kristen enjoys time at home with her family. She is often outside, walking, swimming, or sitting in the grass in her yard. She reads as much as she can, practices piano and flute, and paints when time and inspiration coincide.
