Laura grew up in Brazil where she developed an interest in the built environment and urban fabric. In 1991, Laura moved to North Carolina and later joined the NC State University School of Design as a student of Architecture. After graduation, Laura worked for a residential architectural practice in Brazil, before joining Davis Kane Architects, in 1999.
Laura has worked on a variety of projects ranging from fire stations to university classroom updates, office buildings to elementary schools. Laura has designed projects for East Carolina University, North Carolina State University, SAS Institute, City of Roxboro and Kinston, among other clients. She is interested in the challenges of new construction as well as building renovation and reuse. Through all her experience, Laura is always striving to create versatile yet customized spaces.
At home, Laura loves sharing life with her husband and kids, discovering new worlds as they grow together into their own individualities.
